Summary: The Marketing Communications/RFP Specialist is responsible for assisting the sales and marketing teams in development and delivery of timely responses to RFPs and RFIs in addition to assisting with other marketing tasks This includes (but is not limited to) RFP library management and project management. The role requires interfacing with multiple levels of management and prioritizing projects against limited resources and tight deadlines.

Reports to: Marketing Director
Location: Midtown, NYC
Specific Objectives and Metrics: The Marketing Communications/RFP Specialist will be responsible for delivering against marketing objectives, including:
Improvement in delivery and quality of RFPs, as measured by sales results and adherence to our own processes and timelines.
Development and delivery of useful, scalable, and high-quality proposals, responses and database of response information.
Managing to timelines, including gathering required information from others on schedule.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyze RFPs/RFIs and understand the work requirements, the evaluation criteria, and publication requirements.
- Develop substantive and persuasive responses to unique or challenging proposal questions while operating within the specified deadlines.
- Create and manage project plans and timelines for each response.
- Continually maintain and update responses to standardized inquiries utilizing RFP library.
- Develop strong working relationships with Sales Team, Operations and Product Management to ensure proposal input is accurate, persuasive and timely.
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of content provided by Sales Team, Operations and Product Management.
- Continually monitor the quality and accuracy of information by maintaining current working knowledge of product.
- Track and report on RFP activity and status, including win/loss statistics.
- Collect and maintain competitive intelligence garnered through RFP process and selection.
- Assist with other Marketing activities as required.
Required Experience / Skills
- Bachelors Degree in English/Communications/Marketing.
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to organize time and tasks to meet deadlines
- Must be able to work under pressure, respond to competing demands, and prioritize projects
- Experience in proposal writing and proposal project management is a plus, preferably within the telecommunications or IT industry
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate at ease with Senior Executives
- Capable of thinking creatively
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience in the Telecom Expense Management (TEM), Telecommunications, or business software field a plus.
