Mark Evans,
Co-founder and CEO
After more than 30 years of experience managing or consulting to telecommunications companies,
Mark Evans correctly predicted nearly a decade ago that the growing number of telecom services
had the potential to make telecom bills impenetrable and telcom expenses unmanageable for corporate
clients. To address that emerging need, Mark and co-founder Terry Healy pioneered software and
services that would not only give clients visibility into their increasingly complex telecom
expenditures, but that would also provide them the technology tools to orchestrate a wholesale
business process change to permanently understand and control those expenditures.
The 1997 founding of Quickcomm as one of the first successful Telecommunications Expense
Management (TEM) companies not only helped give rise to a new class of products, but also shaped
the development of a new market. As Quickcomm's CEO, Mark is responsible for the strategic development
of the business.
Prior to establishing Quickcomm, Mark served in senior management in or as consultant to a number of
telecommunications companies, amassing 11 years experience as CEO as well as 15 years experience in the
telecommunications infrastructures and cost models of blue-chip companies. He was also the Managing Director
of ICC Telecommunications, a telecom consulting engineering firm; Asia Pac Telecommunications Manager for NatWest
Markets, Senior Consultant with Amos Aked Swift Pty Ltd; Project Manager - NEC Australia, and Telecommunications
Manager with BR Telecommunications UK.
Terry Healy,
Co-founder and Head of Product Development
Terry Healy is responsible for defining and executing, along with Chief Technical Officer Kurt Brown, Quickcomm's
research and development strategy. As co-founder of Quickcomm, Terry has been directly involved with the Quickcomm
TEM software concept and design since its inception and continues to guide its evolution by drawing on his extensive
customer contact and 14 years experience in the telecommunications industry.
Prior to co-founding Quickcomm, Terry was the Managing Director of Insight Telecommunications Pty Limited, a consulting
firm specializing in telecommunications infrastructure and management. In addition, he worked for seven years with NEC
Australia in roles that included Communications Engineer and Major Account Network Manager where he achieved AS3901 Quality
accreditation for the Service Division.
Stephen Coleman,
Chief Operating Officer
Stephen joined Quickcomm following an extensive, international career in the information technology industry.
Stephen spent 15 years in investment banking where he was responsible for the development, implementation and
ongoing management of strategic information systems in Australia, Asia/Pacific and Europe. He held senior management
positions at UBS as Head of IT for Australia and New Zealand and the Asia Pacific Region. He was heavily involved with
the merger of Swiss banking giants UBS and SBC. He has also held posts with NatWest Markets in both Sydney and London.
Kurt Brown,
Chief Technical Officer
As Chief Technical Officer Kurt Brown is responsible for the management of all facets of software development identifying
the strategic direction of Quickcomm's IT, as well as pre- and post-sales assistance.
Kurt has over 14 years experience in information technology, predominantly in the design and development of n-tier
client server applications. His experience spans a range of disciplines, with recent emphasis on IT management and
architecture having served as the Manager of the Architecture and Infrastructure Group of On-line Shoppingtown for
Westfield Holdings Ltd; and as Chief Architect, Java Point of Sale Terminal for Transacta Pty Ltd. Other key roles
have included: Product Manager, Mentor Assistant Tool, Object Oriented Pty Ltd; Change Manager and Integration Advisor,
SICSnt Implementation for Reinsurance Australia Ltd; and Solution Architectof the E-Commerce Platform for Qantas Airways Ltd.
Louis Crespo,
Senior Vice President
Louis Crespo leads Quickcomm's business development efforts. His responsibilities include
driving Quickcomm's revenue growth, formulating strategic alliances as well as overseeing
sales & marketing. Louis has more than ten years of experience in both
sales and technology roles in the telecom expense management field. Prior to Quickcomm,
Louis was the associate Vice President for Sales and Marketing with Control Point Solutions,
where he helped build and improve the company's sales and marketing engine. Prior to Control
Point, Louis was the Vice President of Technology for Vercuity, where he built and managed
an IT team of programmers, trainers, technical support and implementation specialists
across the country. Louis holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Phoenix
and lives in Nutley, NJ with his wife and 3 children.
Brian Rafferty ,
Head of Professional Services
Brian Rafferty is responsible for the execution of enterprise client cost management
projects. He has over 20 years experience in various segments of the telecommunications
concentrated in the areas of network optimization, telecommunication cost management
and corporate finance. Under his guidance and control, the Professional Services Group
have successfully implemented over $1BN worth of billing data across 5 continents and
over 50 customers. Prior to joining Quickcomm, Brian Rafferty was a head of Project
Management at Natwest Markets, Asia. While at the Natwest, Brian Rafferty delivered
multiple projects to clients in the PBX, long distance, local, internet and wireless
segments of the telecommunications industry. The focus of these projects included due
diligence support for trading floor communications systems, product development, cost
management and network optimization. Before transferring into the Asia Pac office in
Sydney Brian was a manager at Natwest Markets, London for 8 years. Specific
responsibilities included Trading Room voice systems and networks throughout Europe.
Mr. Rafferty’s core background started in the British Royal Navy where he served in the
Communications branch. He currently resides in Weschester County, New York.
