Vodafone Global Enterprise positioned in the Leaders Quadrant

Friday, April 13th, 2012

Quickcomm, a Vodafone Global Enterprise Company, confirm that Vodafone Global Enterprise has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the leaders quadrant of the ‘Magic Quadrant for Telecom Expense Management’* report.

Evaluation Based on Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute

This graphic was published by Gartner, Inc. as part of a larger research document and should be evaluated in the context of the entire document. The Gartner document is available upon request from Vodafone Global Enterprise.

The report defines “leaders” as “mobile service providers that offer mature offerings, while also demonstrating the vision needed to sustain a leading position in the market as client requirements change. They invest in and focus on their offerings and the service experience they deliver in a way that can affect the market’s direction. They have a proven track record in mobile voice and data services for enterprises, and they offer wide geographic coverage. They have also shown a commitment to invest in this business, which indicates that they are well placed for future success. Their products and services are relatively low-risk, but not necessarily the best for every customer.”

Service Providers evaluated in the Magic Quadrant were evaluated on their “ability to execute” and “completeness of vision,” which reflect the following specific criteria:

Ability to Execute

  • Product/Service
  • Overall Viability (Business Unit, Financial, Strategy and Organization)
  • Sales execution/pricing
  • Marketing execution
  • Customer experience
  • Operations

Completeness of Vision

  • Market understanding
  • Marketing strategy
  • Sales strategy
  • Offering (product) strategy
  • Business model
  • Innovation
  • Geographic strategy

According to the 2012 Magic Quadrant for Telecom Expense Management report, “Telecom expense management (TEM) services encompass the processes conducted by IT and finance departments to order, provision and support corporate communications services, both fixed and mobile. The continued growth of enterprise telecom services, driven by the use of video and wireless technologies, is prompting many companies to look to TEM services to enable more efficient procurement and support, as well as to manage costs more effectively.”

The report notes that “most companies lack the internal resources to manage their telecom services and devices, and are therefore looking to outsourced services. This is especially true of large multinationals, which in the past year have moved to centralize the procurement and management of their telecom services.”

Enterprise Mobility Market Rapidly Growing

Monday, November 7th, 2011

According to a recent report conducted by Global Industry Analysts, Inc., we can expect the global market for enterprise mobility to top $173.9 billion by 2017. This surge is due to the growing number of connected devices and enterprise applications. As companies continue to compete within the global market, the demand for employees to be accessible to clients at all times is becoming increasingly important. Paired with the need to remain connected to corporate work information while traveling, enterprise communications is now a key business strategy for organizations, large and small.

Global Industry Analysts (GIA) refer to enterprise mobility as the combination of hardware, software and business applications used by employees to stay connected from remote locations on their mobile devices. With the introduction of new smartphones and tablets, in addition to business apps for these devices, the market is set to continue its growth, meaning enterprise mobility solutions will be an increasingly imperative part of any IT budget.
