QCWeb Streamlines 'Funnel of Orders' Into Organized Process; Integrated with HR and Inventory Management Platforms

Quickcomm Software Solutions, a leading global provider of telecommunications expense management (TEM) software and services, today announced that it is now offering a new web-based procurement manager that allows large enterprises to use a secure website to effectively manage, in real-time, the thousands of requests for new telecom equipment and devices they receive each day.

Without a solution to organize the requisition process, enterprises often have difficulty managing their inventory. Since departments often do not communicate with one another, companies run the risk of ordering new units when the particular device may already be available in house. This oversight alone can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars per year. Moreover, there is no way to know when and how many employees are using outdated devices, leading to higher maintenance and service costs. Finally, the lack of a streamlined process often leads to critical breakdowns between IT and Human Resources when employees leave the organization or transfer departments with their services in tact, As a result, corporate-owned devices are not returned, services are left on, and the company, unaware, continues to pay.

As part of Quickcomm's existing suite of TEM tools, the web-based platform, QCWeb, allows enterprise employees and their managers to log onto a personal page that keeps track of the multiple devices they may be using and their service plans. The platform's up-front value is that it syncs up with existing inventory management systems. For example, if an employee is using an outdated device that is unnecessarily costing the company money, he and his manager will receive an email notification and upgrade options that they can request through a catalogue based on existing inventory and service agreements with vendors. When he orders a new device or service, an update is made to his page and in the inventory management system. The personal pages are grouped by department so when an employee transfers departments, IT is automatically notified and the page is re-located. This way, invoices will go to the appropriate billing center, and the CIO, as well as other managers, will always have a real-time and accurate accounting of company-wide and departmental inventory.

Along the same lines, when an employee leaves an organization, HR can use QC Web to cancel all service accounts and collect all devices while QCWeb makes the inventory adjustment.

"QCWeb funnels, into a controlled process, the stampede of orders and all the information that could easily be mismanaged," said Quickcomm's Chief Executive Officer, Mark Evans. "Misuse of telecom resources-billing redundancies, services left in tact after employees leave, the use of outdated and costly equipment, and inventories that don't reflect reality-cost American businesses billions of dollars per year. Without tools that can integrate the ordering process with inventory management and human resources platforms, the problem will only get worse as businesses keep growing.

"QCWeb is the newest of the many tools Quickcomm offers that help businesses use their total telecom resources as efficiently as possible, which is a must in this supercharged business environment."
