NEW YORK (April 30, 2008) - According to a recently published AOTMP industry report, "Wireless Mobility Management: Over 10,000 Decisions to Manage", cost management for enterprise wireless mobility applications is a top priority for many businesses. AOTMP surveyed nearly 300 enterprise telecom professionals, and 58 percent found a growing concern among businesses for an applicable cost management solution. Quickcomm Software Solutions, the leading global provider of telecom expense management (TEM) solutions, participated in AOTMP's report, recognizing the challenges that businesses face in managing wireless costs, due mainly to lack of available resources on the market today.

According to the report, the range of cost management issues plaguing the wireless mobility management infrastructure include a lack in corporate policy updates and a gap between addressing wireless device management and new applications. While enterprises support more than seven devices and three operating systems on average, only 38 percent have reporting standards in effect to identify and protect themselves against noncompliant spending or billing overlap. In addition, employee resistance to new policies, a deficiency in automation, resource limitations, and inaccurate inventories top the list of major challenges facing enterprise organizations.

To address these issues, Quickcomm recommends using a software-exclusive solution to provide an application to reconcile telecom invoices with inventory and carriers. For example, the company's TEM software is able to analyze each line item, from mobile voice services to tie lines, paging services, data and PBX, eliminating the need for employee involvement and inaccurate inventories while providing complete auditing of wireless services in conjunction with an effective clean billing model to avoid unnecessary overlaps in billings. By identifying discrepancies and redundant or surplus services, a superior quality software solution could save enterprises an average of 10 to 20 percent each year and streamline the billing process while ultimately boosting productivity for companies.

"The challenges which have surfaced in AOTMP's report hit close to home with us," said Mark Evans, CEO of Quickcomm. "As the wireless convergence continues, many businesses seek easy solutions to also converge their bills when dealing with multiple service sectors. We of course feel that a TEM solution is a critical step to achieve greater visibility into where unnecessary expenditures are taking place."

AOTMP's report was published on April 11, 2008 and a complimentary copy of the report is available at from AOTMP's web site at www.aotmp.com/research/REP0408.html.
