Quickcomm Privacy Policy

Quickcomm is committed to protecting your privacy and security.

It is Quickcomm's policy to follow the requirements of the US Department of Commerce Safe Harbor Program regarding personal information transferred from the EU to us in the US within the scope of our Safe Harbor certification. Our Privacy Policy sets out our general information-handling practices. We collect personally identifiable and non-personally identifiable information from our site visitors including information submitted voluntarily by visitors through the submission of forms and that collected through server log files. To safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of your personal information, Quickcomm has committed to the following:

Collection and use of personal information

You may be asked to voluntarily provide personal information to us via certain fields on our web site, through our help desk services, through advertising on third party web sites by our internal team or by outside advertising firms on our behalf or through other means. The personal information collected in such fashion is used for the purpose for which it is requested. For example:
  • Resumes requested from job applicants and are used solely to evaluate candidates. Resumes are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with any unrelated entity outside of Quickcomm. Resumes are disposed of when they are either no longer under consideration or are considered outdated by our Human Resources department (typically after a period of one year).
  • Personal contact information, such as names, addresses, telephone numbers or email addresses, of potential customers or persons seeking business information as well as customers, suppliers, investors and other business partners with questions, concerns, complaints, inquiries, requests for information or help desk services or other technical support questions, is collected in order for us to Respond to those matters. Our web site also uses "cookies" to save your password so you don't have to re-enter it each time you log in to the technical support area of our web site. This information may be stored electronically on our servers, and/or on paper in our offices, in the United States and/or in Australia. Such information is usually deleted as space requires or in the normal course of business, but can be amended or deleted upon request. To review, amend or delete your information, contact privacy@quickcomm.com. Please provide your name and contact information and the approximate dates you visited the web site or otherwise provided personal information to us.
  • When you sign up for an email newsletter, alert or other communication from us, Quickcomm will use that address to deliver the communication you have requested. To review or delete your information, or to opt-out of any communication periodically delivered by us, contact privacy@quickcomm.com. Please provide your name and contact information and the approximate dates you visited the web site or otherwise provided personal information to us.
Collection and use of non-personal information

The Quickcomm web site may use "cookies" other than as mentioned above, clear GIFs and log file information (such as Internet Protocol Address and Referring URLs) about your activity at our web site in order to understand web site usage, including the number of visitors to the web site each day, the number of pages visited and the length of time visitors spend on those pages, as well as to assist in diagnosing any problems with our server, to administer our web site and provide aggregate information to our advertisers. This is for purposes of enhancing your experience at this web site. Information about these cookies or web site usage is not combined or linked in any way with any personal information you may have provided to us.

Information-sharing or disclosure

Quickcomm may provide your information to our agents or our agents may collect information from you on our behalf, if Quickcomm has contracted with such agents to provide certain aspects of the information and services of Quickcomm pursuant to which your information is needed or collected. By agreement, these agents are required to implement similar security measures as set out in Quickcomm's Privacy Policy and will process your information only as authorized by Quickcomm to fulfil the services that they have been contracted to provide. Other than such agents who act on our behalf, information you provide to us will not be transferred to unrelated third parties, unless we have your permission to do so. Receipt of personal information collected by customers

In certain limited circumstances, Quickcomm receives personal information that has been collected by its customers, or potential customers, who are using, or intend to use, Quickcomm's technology and services internally and sometimes also providing, or intending to provide, Quickcomm's technology and services in connection with services to their own customers or clients. In order to customize Quickcomm's technology and services, including resolution of defects and bugs and implementation of change requests, for such customers and end-user customers or clients, it is sometimes necessary for Quickcomm to receive copies of documents and other materials from such persons. These documents and other materials may contain information considered to be of a personal nature. Quickcomm uses such documents, and other materials and personal information received in connection with them, for purposes only of customizing its technology and services to ensure they provide the functionality required by such customers and end-user customers or clients. Such materials and information are typically needed on a one-time basis only and once the technology and services are adequately customized and installed on the customer's servers, Quickcomm does not retain any such materials or information.

Quickcomm handles all such materials and information in accordance with its own internal policies and procedures as set forth in this Privacy Policy. Quickcomm is not responsible, however, for the privacy practices of such customers and end-user customers or clients.

Confidentiality and security

Quickcomm has implemented reasonable security measures in order to protect both personal and non-personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. We also maintain physical security procedures to manage and protect the use and storage of paper records containing personal information.

Our staff is responsible for handling personal information in accordance with our stated Privacy Policy and all applicable laws and regulations. We educate our staff about the requirements of our information-handling procedures and practices.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes to the type of personal information we collect, the means by which we collect it or the way in which we use it, we will notify you by posting a revised version of our Privacy Policy containing such amendments on our web site.

Changes in corporate structure

If all or part of Quickcomm is sold, merged or otherwise transferred to an unrelated entity, the personal information you have provided at this web site may be transferred as part of that transaction. However, Quickcomm will take steps to assure that the personal information is used in a manner consistent with the Quickcomm Privacy Policy in effect at the time of such transfer.

If you have a complaint

If you have a complaint about the privacy of your personal information, we ask that you contact us in the first instance directly at privacy@quickcomm.com. We will promptly acknowledge and investigate complaints. If you do not receive a satisfactory response to your complaint, you may pursue the matter further through independent arbitration proceedings by a single arbitrator in accordance with the rules and procedures of the American Arbitration Association. The place of arbitration shall be New York, New York, USA. Quickcomm agrees to submit to such arbitration for purposes of resolution of complaints raised in connection with this Privacy Policy.
